But Jesus’ life can never be destroyed
Hebrews 7:2, 16-17 The name Melchizedek means “king of justice,” and king of Salem means “king of peace.” … Jesus became a priest by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed. And the psalmist [Psalm 110:4] pointed this out when he prophesied, “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”
Luke 2:28, 32 Simeon took the baby Jesus in his arms and praised God, saying: … “He is a light to reveal God to the nations.”

Justice?
Peace?
Jesus embracing both, revealing God to the nations?
Where is God in all that’s going on around us? What is he doing? What is his bigger plan?
How can we live from a center of peace, especially when there is chaos and calamity every day in the news and sometimes around us and maybe even in our own lived or family experience?
I would love to know your response to this question. Please take a minute to respond. I’m pondering this question this Advent whenever my mind isn’t occupied by other things. I’d love to profit from your input!
Meanwhile, here’s the link again to the Advent ABC playlist.
Oh, Deb, I just left a much too long Comment in the piece you posted. I think if you leave it there you would have to edit it. You can take it down if you want to. It’s much too long. I just responded to your question as I interpreted it, and as I’ve interpreted it many times in my life as well. Like what is God thinking? or doing? or not doing?
By the way, I went to Amazon to look to buy your adorable Campfire book. It’s pretty pricey, if I do say so myself. You may have to take a loss on this one if you hope to sell it. I was thinking about who your targeted audience would be and what would a person normally spend for a book for that age group. I don’t know. I wanted to buy 2 for my Great Grandchildren out on the west coast. They are both 3 years old but get read to a lot by several adults and they both love books. But adding that up was out of my price range for now. I’ll think of “birthdays” rather than an extra Christmas present. Think about it. It would be really hard to do all that work and have all that expense going into it and then have to take a loss. I got your invitation to the “Launch” on Saturday December 21. I’m afraid I have to decline, Deb, though I hate to do that. It’s the day I’m flying out to my son’s in Vancouver, Washington for Christmas. I’ll be gone for six days for that trip. I’m really looking forward to it. However, I am terribly disappointed to miss your party. Because it’s the day I will actually be flying, I don’t think I can do the Zoom link though that is a great addition. Please keep in touch. I love you so much. Give David a big hug for me. Thank you, Meredith! Somehow your response to my blog post isn’t showing up–and others have had the same problem and are writing to me by email. I don’t know why, and haven’t had time to investigate.
Re. the book, I just wrote you an email. It’s six stories in one volume, which would cost a lot more to publish individually; 120 pages of full color illustrations, which is expensive to print. People who have seen the book love it. I need to figure out how to help people “see” it better through the internet. Thank you for taking the time to look at it on Amazon! Love you!!
