Tasked to care for all creation

But God removes our sins  March 14, 2024

Psalm 103:12 The Lord has removed our sins (pesha’) as far from us as the east is from the west.

The Hebrew pesha’ means moral failure, rebelliousness, lawbreaking. What purpose of God’s are we neglecting when we fail to care for God’s creation?

“The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it” (Genesis 2:15).

You can look up, if you like other Scriptures that indicate God’s love for his creation, including Numbers 27:16, Job 38-41, Psalm 36:6, Psalm 65:9, Psalm 104, Psalm 147:9, Psalm 148, Proverbs 12:10, Jeremiah 10:12 and 51:15, Matthew 6:26-30.

Litany of Penitence 8

For our wastefulness and misuse of your creation

And our lack of concern for those who come after us,

Lord, have mercy upon us:

For we have sinned against you.
